The medieval settlement of Ano Syros is not accessible by car, the town is serviced mostly by marble steps. On the top of the hill is The Catholic basilica of San Giorgio. The church was constructed during the 13th century. The panoramic view is very rewarding – from there easily can be recognized the neighboring islands of Tinos, Delos, Mykonos, Paros and Naxos.
